June 12 is Public Holiday to Mark Democracy Day
The Federal Government has declared June 12, 2020, as public holiday to mark Democracy Day for the year. The Interior Minister, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola announced this in Abuja on behalf of the Federal Government. He congratulated Nigerians for successfully running a democratic government in the country.
The minister while making the announcement hailed the Nigeria Past Heroes for upholding the democratic rule and for their sacrifice for Nigerians.
Aregbesola urged Nigerians to keep the democratic spirit alive in the country. He added that we all have the responsibility to assist the current administration in maintaining the democracy our fathers fought for.
