A journalist has been confirmed missing in BayelsaState, but moment after he went lost, some persons claiming to have abducted him demanded for five million naira (N5,000,000).
The journalist is reportedly a Correspondent of Guardian Newspaper, by name, Julius Osahon, who was also scooped up along other passengers on transit to Ughelli, Delta State.
It was leant that osahon, Bayelsa State based reporter, was attacked along Evwreni Community axis of the East-West Road near Patani, when the gunmen suddenly emerged from the bush, opening fire on the ill-fated bus, killing the driver and abducting passengers including him.
It was also reported that five of the victims were released by the gunmen on Monday, March 28, around 8:30am as no detail was obtained on the condition that led to their freedom.
Meanwhile, one of Osahon’s neighbour in Yenagoa, stated that a female passenger who was among the passengers released by the abductors on Monday came to the Amarata neighbourhood to speak on what happened to them and how Osahon and other passengers were held captive by the abductors.
Some persons within the Amarata neighbourhood have confirmed the incident on discovering the ill-fated bus at Sunny Eru terminal in Yenagoa with bullet holes.
