Nigerian Journalist, David Hundeyin Exposes Pantami

A Freelance Journalist, David Hundeyin, has received accolades from many Nigerians for what they described as his courageous and well-detailed analysis of the allegations linking the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, to terrorism.

During an interview with the Channels Television, David, a Nigerian journalist, tackled those defending Pantami, noting that the Minister had not changed his views on extremism as claimed in his recent comment.

He dismissed claims from different quarters that there is no evidence to link Pantami with a terrorist group like the Taliban and Al-Qaeda (read more here). 

David Hundeyin said he had written various articles about the allegations linking the Minister with extremism, adding that Pantami has a long history of making comments that portrays him as an Islamic extremist.

According to the award-winning journalist, the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University management removed Pantami as the Chief Imam of the institution for sparking a religious crisis.

He further dismissed claims that Pantami made extremists comment a long time ago, noting that the Minister was 33 years and eleven months old when he commented on Al-Qaeda.

Meanwhile, some tweeps have commended David Hundeyin for his courage and doggedness as a journalist with a difference.

@MrRouvafe said, “Shekau is manning the left flank of the Jihad, while Pandemic is handling the right side. We need more David Hundeyin’s to stop this attack before it’s too late.”

However, David maintained that the only disagreement between Pantami and Boko haram Leader, Abubakar Shekau is the method they intend to use to achieve Islamic State, noting that they are both extremists.
