Joeboy Recounts His Life Before Fame

In a recent interview, Nigerian singer Joeboy has recounted his past experiences in life before he became famous.

In a chat with a media personality and Journalist, the young artist gave details on the challenges he went through while growing up and how he was embarrassed because of school fees in secondary school.

He also revealed that these experiences affected his self-esteem at some point in life. Joeboy also affirmed that due to his experience, he wished that everything would just end.

He recounted how he didn’t have money after school and had to look for a job with his friend.

He said, “I eventually got a job to promote products for a company under the sun. They took us to redeem camp in Ogun state, and it was difficult. We were paid N5000 a week.

Still narrating his life experience, he disclosed he only had one pair of Nike shoes, which was fake, so as a result of that, he promised himself always to buy shoes when he made it in life.

Joeboy added, “So, these days when I’m down, I step out to buy shoes.”

Talking about his school days, he said life was way difficult than failing an exam or owing school fees. Due to his situation of not paying school fees, he urged that schools shouldn’t call out children for their inability to pay school fees.

He also advised that children shouldn’t be flogged or embarrassed for owing school fees because, as a kid, it affected their self-esteem.
