A senior reporter with Voxmedia, Teddy Schleifer has shed more light on the projection that CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos would emerge the first World Trillionaire.

According to Teddy, the company which published the projection, Comparisun only calculated each billionaire’s net worth’s growth over the last five years.

He further clarified that Jeff Bezos would only be the world’s first trillionaire in 2026 if Amazon has another five years like the last five years.

The author added that the projection makes a lot of assumptions noting that the American economy has been on a decade-long bull run that won’t replicate easily.

He said matured companies don’t typically grow by the same rate as younger companies do.

Earlier the Comparisun had projected that the Amazon CEO could become the first trillionaire in the world by 2026 if his wealth continues growing at the 34% rate it has grown in recent years.

According to Comparisun, only 11 out of 25 of the world’s wealthiest individuals had a realistic shot at becoming trillionaires during their lifetime.

Bloomberg said Bezos is worth about $138 billion and his fortune has grown by $28.3 billion so far in 2020.
