Italy continues their impressive form as they beat Switzerland 3-0 in their second leg of the ongoing Euro 2020 to top Group A. They have sealed their first place position as they two wins in two games. Roberto Mancini’s side is one of the major contenders of the Euro title.
Sassuolo midfielder Manuel Locatelli scored a brace in the game, and Lazio skipper Ciro Immobile scored one to make the scores 3-0. Many people are banking on Portugal, France and Belgium as the favourite to win the title, but Roberto Mancini’s side has been excellent since the competition.
Before the tournament, Italy had never scored three goals in a game at the Euros, but Immobile’s goal break that record as they rolled past Switzerland 3-0. Italy has already booked their place in the round of 16 as they are already six points. They are the first team to win their two opening games in the Euro 2020 tournament.
They have also been able to keep a clean sheet in all their last games so far. Their skipper Giorgio Chiellini sustained an injury and was forced out of the game before the end of the match. It was reported that he sustained a hamstring injury.
