Inter Milan Set to Make Sanchez Deal permanent

Inter Milan want to sign Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez on a permanent deal.

Manchester United loanee Alexis Sanchez has proven himself in his loan move at Inter and based on his performance the Italian side wants to make his deal a permanent one. The 31-year-old Chile striker has impressed during his loan spell in Italy and scored his third goal in eight games during Saturday’s 3-0 win at Genoa.

Alexis Sanchez has involved in Tuesday night Inter thrashing to Napoli assuming all his contributions Antonio Conte has decided to keep the player. Inter Milan has not won the Serie A title since 2011. The player’s United contract thought to be around £400,000 a week is beyond Inter’s reach but Old Trafford boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not want to keep the former Barcelona forward for next season.

Manchester United have been paying some portion of Sanchez’s wages since he moved to Italy last summer and the former Arsenal man’s contract is not due to expire until 2022. Any deal would almost certainly require some kind of pay off from United and a willingness by Sanchez to take a wage cut.

There is uncertainty over how long the player will be permitted to be involved in Inter’s Europa League campaign but the club is willing to keep him. He might be available for the last-16 tie with Getafe on 5 August but with United also still in the competition, the existing deal would see the player then return to Old Trafford.
