The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC Nigeria, has revealed its new plans for qualified voters ahead of the 2023 General Elections.

To follow all due processes and ensure the franchise of Nigerians is not denied come 2023, the Commission has embarked on a task to make available the needed facilities, infrastructure and manpower for the delivery of a free, fair and credible election.

According to Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, the Commission’s Chairman, he is guaranteeing electorates the display of a comprehensive register in all the 8,809 Wards and 774 Local Government Areas/Area Councils nationwide as envisaged in Section 19(1) of the Electoral Act 2022.

“The idea is to ensure that no eligible Nigerian is left out of the electoral process on account of displacement, disability or other circumstances that may limit citizens’ participation in the electoral process.” The Chairman said on their Twitter platform.

The above paragraph means that all eligible voters will get the chance to participate without any hindrance, especially if they’ve completed the registration procedures.
