The Seriki Fulani of Igangan, Abdul Kadir has reacted to the Igangan attack that reportedly led to his property’s destruction.
Kadir, who accused the police of deceiving him about the arrival of Sunday Igboho‘s thugs said he would have fled with his families and other valuables if he was aware that the attacks would be carried out.
Speaking in Ilorin, the Seriki revealed that he lost 11 exotic cars, 207 cows, buildings, and other properties to the attack.
Also, he called on the federal government, Emirs and traditional rulers in the 19 northern states to rescue Fulani residents in the South-West.
The Seriki urged the federal government to investigate the matter and punish anyone found guilty.
However, he said chances of him returning to Igangan land is slim, adding that possible attacks by the residents of the area still scares him.
He denied plotting the killing of one Dr Aborode, emphasising that Igboho falsely concocted these allegations to evict Fulani from Ibarapaland, Oyo State.
According to him, Dr Aborode was killed about two hours drive to his village.
Everyevery.ng had reported that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has warned Sunday Igboho against taking the law into his own hands.
The Monarch warned Igboho to be wary of politicians who might hijack the whole motive from him.
He noted that though the activist has done well, Ooni advised Igboho to allow the state governor, Seyi Makinde take charge of the situation as the state’s chief security officer.
