Korede Bello IG
Popular Nigerian singer, Korede Bello, was seen in a viral video appealing to the Nigerian Inspector General of Police to order his men to stop shooting at peaceful protesters.
In light of the recent campaign against Police brutality and killings in the country which has also led to more deaths of peaceful protesters, Korede Bello, who is also a Police Youth ambassador has used his voice to help calm things down.
The ‘Godwin’ crooner reported to the Police boss the death of peaceful protesters in Surulere, Lagos as well as attack on other protesters including his colleagues.
He stated that he came there to ensure that the people’s demand are met but the attacks on peaceful protesters at the moment is more important.
Korede Bello said, “Will you please tell or order your men to stop shooting at peaceful protesters. I challenge you IG, the situation would keep escalating beyond people who are being shot..”
“Please I challenge you IG right now, will you order your men to stop shooting at peaceful protesters. Please people are losing lives” he concluded.
Meanwhile the #ENDSARS protest is going on some parts of the country today with youths making sure that their demands are met.
