Nigerian alleged internet fraudster, Ramon Abbas, also known as Hushpuppi, has suffered a major loss amidst his ongoing legal battle.
Report has it that his US lawyers Gal Pissetzky and Vicki Podberesky have both applied before a US District Court in California to withdraw from representing him.
Their withdrawal is coming after they have both spent months defending him and working towards his exoneration from all financial charges against him.
Meanwhile, another report has it that the lawyers decided to withdraw from representing him because he has since stopped communication with them and has also gotten himself another legal counsel.
Hushpuppi has been behind bars since June 2020 when he was arrested by UAE police officers and FBI operatives in Dubai.
He is well-known for flaunting his wealth on social media, which many have described as the reason for his arrest.
The 37-years-old has been accused of being the leader of a power group involved in computer intrusion, identity theft, hacking, money laundering among many other financial related crimes.
