Protesters Demand Dino Melaye's Arrest
A few days after former Senator Dino Melaye opined that he won’t join issues with the All Progressives Congress, APC over the call for his arrest for associating himself with Hushpuppi, some protesters have staged a protest to demand that he should be investigated.
Earlier in an Instagram post, Dino said ‘I will not glorify a religiously lunatic character nor the caretaker party(APC) with a response on Hushpuppy.”
The protesters stormed the US Embassy, Abuja and demanded a forensic investigation over ex-Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Timi Frank and some chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who were linked to Hushpuppi.
It was gathered that the protesters were members of the Concerned Citizens Forum (CCF).
They reportedly held up placards which read, “Say No to fraud, Interpol act now”, “Interpol act and arrest Dino Melaye”, “Show me your friend and I will tell you who you are”, “FBI should investigate Atiku Abubakar.”
The group also submitted a letter to the US Ambassador to Nigeria and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI demanding a probe of Hushpuppi’s political allies in the PDP.
The protesters insisted that Atiku’s frequent trips to Dubai prior to 2019 presidential elections may not be unconnected to Hushpuppi.
You will recall that the APC alleged: “criminal conspiracy linking the top echelon of the opposition party” to Hushpuppi noting that PDP members may have allegedly helped Hushpuppi launder proceeds of crime.
