Huawei is currently having the roughest experience in the telecommunications world in the hands of the United States Government. Blocking the Chinese internet giant from participating in the development of 5G has been the priority of several countries across Europe in recent months. These upheavals have been affecting the name of the Chinese company and it may even set them aback a couple hundred of millions of dollars. As Huawei suffer immense restrictions in its 5G pursuits, some other companies are advancing their bid. Considering the hard times for Huawei companies like Samsung is beginning to gain prominence in this field.
In a recent announcement, Samsung will invest $22 billion in 3 years in technological areas like artificial intelligence, and 5G. This will be the largest allocation to these areas by the Korean brand for now.
Mobile companies are now releasing new phone models with amazing cameras and foldable technologies. Samsung released the S10 and the Galaxy Fold followed strongly by the Huawei Mate X. Obviously, Huawei is not backing down, despite their challenges they continue to push out new innovative products.
In the coming months, it will be interesting to see how far Huawei’s competitors will capitalize on Huawei’s troubles. Interestingly, Samsung might take a lead in this regard, but we are sure other companies will join in.
