Share

Human beings struggle with a plethora of stressful situations daily, but a positive mindset can be the game changer. Our ability to properly manage struggles is what determines how successful we are.

Learning how to face and deal with stress paves way for self actualization. In fact, what a lot of people fail to understand is that these obstacles are a necessary part of life. It is a normal human instinct to feel disappointed whenever the results of our hard work falls short of our expectations. The first trait of a successful person is their willingness to accept defeat and show perseverance in the face of adversity.

TALK POSITIVELY TO YOURSELF

The first step in getting rid of negative thoughts is to reenforce positive talk in your life. That inner voice that cannot be silenced has a way of affecting our lives in ways which we cant even begin to imagine. It fills you up with that optimism which in turn makes you feel better about yourself. It aids in fine tuning your self esteem and giving you that boost which you need to overcome difficulties. Look into a mirror once in a while and say encouraging words to yourself when in doubt. “I can do it”. ” I was built for this “. ” It’s just another hurdle to cross”. ” I’ve done it before and I can do it again “. Never underestimate the power of of self talk

CUT OFF BAD ENERGY

Do you have toxic friends who only sees the negative part of something and never accepts to the good in anything? The type of people we surround ourselves have the ability to affect our psyche, our daily moods and attitude towards life. If you hangout with a serial complainer, in no time you’ll start complaining about the silliest things too. Don’t be afraid to cut them off and in no time you’ll find yourself having a more positive outlook on life. Being able to see challenges as temporary setbacks rather than the end of the world.

AVOID SEEKING APPROVAL

In life, the only approval you need is yours. Constantly worrying or obsessing what people think about you does major harm to your self esteem. As long as you keep having a reaction to what people say or think about you, you’ll keep suffering. Worst of all, it will drown you in a pool of negativity. Don’t engage in negative activities in other to please  or gain appraisal from anybody. A healthy mind is all that matters.
