How to dress like a modern day Princess

Share

Every girl wants to be a princess but we all can’t marry a prince. The world has changed and is evolving, and the notion of being a princess is fading quicker than a bleached skin. It is no surprise that we admire royals, their way of life and all the beautiful outfits they get to wear. The British royals have been a media obsession for years dating back to the long ancestral line.

It is no surprise that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have been on the media’s radar, especially with their different sense of style. Thought I should share a few useful tips for any girl or lady determined to have a modern-day princess experience:

Less is more

If there’s one thing the Royals do best, it is minimal fashion. Everything comes in such a minimal way, it stands out just looking at them. Take Kate and Meghan’s wedding dress for example…  Simple and Elegant.

Modesty is key

You’ll hardly see any royal with a mini skirt or cleavage-revealing outfit, especially for a royal engagement. All their skirts are always a few inches below the knee and tops/blouses, decent enough not to show cleavage.

A clutch is always important

Got to hand it to the royals, they know how to prevent awkward situations and unwanted greetings. Though very stylish,  it is always a safe choice for royals.

Opt for Pumps

The Royals sure do know how to wear heels. Take notes from Kate Middleton, she’s a goddess on pumps.

Opt for Fabrics that don’t wrinkle

Wrinkled fabrics make anything look tacky. The Royals know this so they opt for a fabric that doesn’t wrinkle after they’ve sat down. Fabrics such as tweed come in handy.
