How 7 Civil Defence Officers Perished as Victims of Banditry

Sadly, seven officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, met their sudden deaths at the hands of Bandits following an unsuspected attack.

The NSCDC men were reported lifeless after the news was first confirmed by the Corps Director of Public Relations, Mr Olusola Odumosu, in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

According to Odumosu, the attack happened at the Kuriga mining site in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area, LGA of Kaduna State.

Similarly, he confirmed that five other operatives from a different security agency and local vigilance group died in the same attack.

The public Relations Officer revealed that the personnel attached to the Kaduna State Ministry of Mines were ambushed and killed by bandits while on official duty at a mining site.

“The sad incidence took place on Monday 9th of January 2023, at about 10.00hrs at the Kuriga mining site in Birnin Gwari LGA of Kaduna State.” He added.
