The housemaid of former Edo State Governor’s mother has allegedly strangled her to death in her home.
The Mother of Lucky Igbinedion, Maria Oredola Igbinedion, was strangled to death by her housemaid, who is now on the run.
85-year-old Maria, who lives in Ugbor, GRA, Benin City, has been moving with the aid of a wheelchair since her 80th birthday.
The yet to be named maid, who was said to hail from Cross River State, carted away jewellery and money.
A close family source has said, “Any amount, I repeat, any amount will be paid for information leading to the arrest of this girl. She is a murder suspect and is wanted by the police and Benin people.”
Burial arrangement announced by the family; service of songs on Thursday, December 9th, 2021 and final burial is on Friday, December 10th 2021.
She is survived by her husband, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, Children, Lucky Igbinedion, Bright Igbinedion, Charles Igbinedion, Mabel Amadin and Grand Children.
