No fewer than just a couple of hours after the human rights activist, Very Dark Man, VDM, called upon the Nigerian Police Force, NPF, to arrest Bobrisky, the influencer/crossdresser, something really strange happened.
Shockingly, the crossdresser was later arrested by the Economic Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, after he was caught abusing the Naira Note.
According to the anti-corruption agency’s spokesperson, Mr Dele Oyewale, the influencer, whose real name is Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, got apprehended not because of the allegations of sexual misconduct but for mutilating the country’s currency.
Oyewale stressed, “It is true our boys arrested him yesterday evening in Lagos for naira abuse. We don’t have anything to do with his lifestyle (being a cross-dresser). He was suspected of committing an economic crime and that was the reason for his arrest.”
However, Bobrisky’s detainment happened hours after the Nigerian Police claimed they did not have evidence enough to go after him for mere cross-dressing accusations when there were no active laws restricting the act, adding that there was no pure evidence for his same-sex activities allegations.
