Hillary Clinton calls for the Nigerian President to stop killing of citizens
Hillary Clinton, Former United States Presidential Candidate has beckoned on the Nigerian President Mohammadu Buhari and the Army to put an end to the incessant killings of the youth in the country who have been protesting for a reform of the Nigerian Police force and an end to bad governance.
Last night was a black one for the country as peaceful protesters at the Lekki toll gate were waylaid and shot at with live rounds. This was shortly after the government of the state-imposed an impromptu 24 hours curfew on the state. In the course of this shooting, many were injured and the number of fatalities is piling up.
In light of this unfortunate event, Hillary Clinton tweeted,
“I’m calling on @mbuhari (President Muhammadu Buhari) and the @hqnigerianarmy (Nigeria Army) to stop killing young #EndSARS protesters. #StopNigeriaGovernment.”
Clinton joins in the growing list of foreign public figures who have shown supports for the #EndSARS campaign
