Hilda Baci has become a National icon. She became a National Treasure in May after embarking on her journey to breaking the world record for the longest time spent cooking by an individual.

The Akwa Ibom who spent over 100 hours cooking is yet to receive her Guinness World Record. Fans have begun to make numerous speculations as to the delay.

She took to express her frustration. “Not me refreshing my email every second since we submitted all the evidence to Guinness World Records”, she wrote on Twitter.

“Our records team are working on it”, Guinness World Records replied.

Although the response seemed to have simmered down the anxiety of the award, Hilda steered up another controversy.

In a video made with Popular Tiktoker, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, she was seen feasting on dog meat. This video sparked nationwide outrage. Fans are accusing the Star of chasing clout; as a means to remain relevant.

Others are upset about what they deem to be animal cruelty. A Nigerian lady dubbed the President of the Dog lovers association released a video attacking the celebrity. They called the act distasteful, especially as it was filmed for the consumption of the general public.

Although she has faced backlash, she has also received support from her statesmen. Actor Ime Bishop Umoh and BBNaija Star Queen Mercy Atang have come out in support of Hilda. They claim that the consumption of dog meat is their culture, of which they are proud.
