Following the announcement of Ghana as the new Headquarters for US-based social media platform, Nigerians and other Africans have given hilarious reactions as Twitter shuns Nigeria.
The co-founder of the microblogging platform, Jack Dorsey, took to his account to make the official announcement to Twitter users. Linking an extensive article of the launch, Jack tweeted,
“Twitter is now present on the continent. Thank you Ghana and @NAkufoAddo #TwitterGhana”
Confirming the collaboration between Ghana and Twitter, the Ghanaian president Nana Akufo- Addo responded with a confirmatory tweet.
This development evoked feelings from Africans across the platform, especially Ghanaians who were excited about the great news.
