A yet to be confirmed report says famous Nigerian singer, Oladapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as Dbanj has been suspended as the Ambassador of Heritage Bank.
The singer, who bagged the ambassadorial deal on his 40th birthday is facing rape allegations which he allegedly committed in 2018, Meanwhile he has denied the allegations and filed a law suit against his accuser.
Though the management of Heritage Bank has not issued an official statement to confirm his suspension as their ambassador as at the time of filing this report but reports on Twitter showed that the singer had been suspended.
Everyevery.ng visited the Bank’s official Twitter handle and there was no tweet yet to ascertain that they suspended the ambassadorial deal.
Earlier, over 15,000 people have signed a petition calling on the United Nations, UN to strip the Koko master of his appointment as the UN ambassador for peace.
They also called on brands like Heritage Bank Africa, One Africa, CSA Global and other brands that have a relationship with the singer to terminate their deal with him given the rape allegations levelled against him one Seyitan Babatoye.
Reacting to the reported suspension, some Twitter users described it as a welcome development while others noted that Heritage Bank should have waited till the singer is pronounced guilty or innocent.
