Health Workers, Violators Test Positive to COVID-19 in Ekiti State

Dr Mojisola Yaya-Kolade, Commissioner for Health in Ekiti State revealed on Monday that two health workers were among the four new COVID-19 cases in the Ekiti State. She confirmed that the remaining two patient were those who broke the interstate lockdown rule to enter the state.

The commissioner spoke at Ado Ekiti while delivering the update on COVID-19 in the state. She pointed out that the new cases in the state were not due to community spread. She reassured the people of the state that the state is doing everything possible in its power to prevent community spread.

Dr Mojisola Yaya-Kolade urged the residents of the state to adhere to the rule of social distancing and use the facemasks at all times.

As at the time of reporting this, the use of face mask, social distancing and ban on interstate movement is still in place.
