Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland has finally revealed the club in the English Premier League he is will be willing to join when he leaves Borussia Dortmund. The Norwegian said he would like to join Manchester City in 2022. Dortmund managed to fend off competition for the Norwegian’s services in the most recent transfer window, but his £64m release clause is set to be over by next summer.
Manchester City has unsurprisingly been tipped as one of Haaland’s signature favourites. Still, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and even Liverpool have all indicated interest in the player. Now, Norwegian football expert Andreas Korssund claims that a move to the English Premier League side would interest the player.
Stating this on Twitter, he said: “Manchester City remains the most likely club to sign him when his summer 2022 release clause kicks in.” “Haaland will be open to a Man City transfer and has even been heard talking about how much the Etihad impresses him.”
However, Dortmund has supposedly not given up hope of the player signing a new deal, with his current terms expiring in 2024. The 21-year-old boasts 71 goals and 19 assists from 70 games for Dortmund in all tournaments, and his father Alf-Inge Haaland made 45 appearances for Man City from 2000 to 2003.
