Some yet to be identified gunmen have reportedly killed Mrs. Funmi Folorunso, wife of a top member of the National Union of Road Transport Worker, NURTW, in Ondo State, Comrade Marcus Folorunso.
It was gathered that the middle-aged woman was shot dead inside her car near her residence at Oda Road, in the Kajola area of Akure around 10:pm on Monday, December 28.
Sources revealed that the assailants trailed the woman to her house from an undisclosed location.
Everyevery.ng learned that the husband of the deceased, Comrade Folorunso was a former branch chairman of Ado Garage in Akure the Ondo State Capital.
in a related development, a Businessman in Ondo, Babatunde Adeluka Olubasa was recently murdered by some suspected assailants at a hotel in the Ijapo area of Akure, the state capital.
The spokesperson of the Ondo state police command, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro, who described the death of the Businessman as a case of assassination said the command is trying to track down those who killed him.
The Police PPRO explained that at the time it happened, there was nobody else at the bar, except the bar girl adding that the Gunmen came in three, waiting.
It was reported that Babatunde was trailed to the hotel by three armed men after attending a function in Akure, they shot him and also descended on him with a small axe to completely snuff life out of him (read more here).
