Unidentified gunmen alleged kidnappers have attacked a Girls Secondary School in Zamfara state and allegedly abducted.
The number of individuals involved in the kidnap has not been specified so far. According to BBC Hausa Service, the bandits stormed the Government secondary School, Moriki in Zurmi Local Govt area of Zamfara state. The incident occurred Wednesday night during the champions league match.
A source informed the news channel that during the attack, the armed bandits, shot sporadically on the air. Killing one person in the town of Moriki before the attack on the school.
A vigilante in Moriki also said that the bandits blocked roads leading to the town, during the 3:30 muslim prayers. Prior to attacking the school.
The bandits abducted two teachers, four cooks but were unable to reach the students. The motive for the attack is unknown or who the bandits work for.
BBC also reports that kidnapping in Zamfara is on the rise despite the Nigerian governments efforts by security agencies to curtail the menace bedeviling North West.
