Grammy Awards 2020: Teyana Taylor Spits Fire

American female singer, Teyana Taylor, has broken tables after she was snubbed in this year’s Grammy Awards nomination list.

Teyana had released her third studio album ‘The Album’ on the 19th of June, 2020, The 23-tracks album features guest appearances from artistes which include Erykah Badu, Kehlani, Lauryn Hill, Future, Rick Ross, Quavo, Missy Elliot, and Davido.

‘The Album’ has been tipped for the prestigious Grammy Awards after it has debuted at number 8 on the Billboard 200. It also earned a 3.5/5 star rating by The Forty Five.

Teyana Taylor was ,however, snubbed in the ‘Best R&B Album’ nomination list for Grammy Awards 2020.

The nominee list consists of Ant Clemons (Happy 2 Be There), Giveon (Take Time), John Legend (Bigger Love), Gregory Porter (All Rise), and Luke James (To Feel Love/d).

Reacting to this, Teyana wrote,“Y’all was better off just saying best MALE R&B ALBUM cause all I see is d*ck in this category”

Her rants came after Nicki Minaj had slammed Grammy for snubbing her in 2012 as well as The Weeknd who had missed out in this years’ award.

Meanwhile, Nigerian singer, Burna Boy has received his second nomination in two years. His studio album, ‘Twice As Tall’ was got a nomination in the ‘Best Global Music Album‘ category.
