Governor Oyetola Inaugurates Vision 30-30 In OsunCentres In Osun
The Osun State government said Governor Gboyega Oyetola has ordered the reopening of religious centers and markets after appraising the current status of the state in the ongoing fight against the Coronavirus, COVID-19 pandemic.
The Osun state commissioner for information, Funke Egbemode in a statement revealed that governor Oyetola decided to reopen all markets and religious centres in the state for normal activities following some emerging positive indices.
According to the statement, worship centers that were restricted to only Sunday/Friday weekly services due to COVID-19 can return to their normal mode of operation as the state government announced the decision to relax some of its lockdown measures.
Egbemode said the reopening was meant to serve the needs of the people and to also preserve the means of the traders’ livelihood adding that residents of the state have been advised to continue to wear nose masks in public places, and also ensure regular use of hand sanitizer among other COVID-19 protocols.
Meanwhile, leaders of worship centers were enjoined to provide adequate resources such as hand washing facilities at entry points and at strategic places. The Commissioner who further noted that though the state is not COVID-19 free, however, explained that Osun State has recorded significant improvement in its statistics concerning the infection.
