In commemoration of the 2020 worker’s day, the Ondo state governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has approved car loans for primary school teachers across the state.
The Governor disclosed this in a tweet on his verified Twitter handle.
In the tweet, Akeredolu also disclosed that his government had promoted deserving workers adding that the 2020 promotion exercise had commenced.
The tweet reads, “To mark the #2020workersDay, Governor @RotimiAkeredolu, SAN today approved car loans for primary school teachers across the state. The Governor also disclosed that his administration had promoted deserving workers, while the 2020 promotion exercise has already commenced.
In the meantime, the state had recorded four new cases of Coronavirus, COVID-19 on Friday.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, confirmed 238 new cases of the virus as at 11: 00 pm on May 1.
The agency in a post on its Twitter handle said Kano had 92 cases, 36 in Abuja, 30 in Lagos, 16 in Gombe, 10 in Bauchi and 8 in Delta.
Also, 6 cases in Oyo, 5 in Zamfara, 5 in Sokoto, 4 in Nasarawa, 3 in Kwara, 3 in Edo, 3 in Ekiti, 3 in Borno, 3 in Yobe and 2 in Adamawa.
Niger recorded one case, Imo had 1, Ebonyi had 1, Rivers had one also Enugu recorded one bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 2170 with 351 discharged and sixty-eight deaths.
