A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adamu Garba has highlighted what he described as the solution to herders’ crisis in Nigeria.

In a tweet, Garba noted that it doesn’t make sense for cows to be roaming the streets in 2021.

According to him, cows should be ranched on land acquired or rented by the ranchers adding that herders can only use lands through rent or purchase.

However, he advised the government to step forward and clear this out.

Solution To Herders’ Crisis

On how to reconcile the raging herders’ crisis, Garba highlighted the need for proper communication where each knows the land laws.

He stressed that all lands in Nigeria, including forests, belong to some entity, hence, herders can only use land through a proper authorization.

The APC Chieftain added that no state power could give land to anyone where the land has been identified with owners for generations, without purchasing or renting.

Garba opined that the only Fulani herders’ problem is a betray from city Fulanis, who decided to acquire wealth and power after moving to cities but forget to carry the village brothers along.

He advised rich Fulanis to come together and get ranching lands.

Garba further expressed concerns over the lack of proper communication to the herders in understanding land use law.
