Fulham Battle Arsenal in EPL
Following Fulham’s hard-fought 2-1 win over Brentford in the Championship playoffs final, Fulham secured a quick return to the Premier League. They will be playing Arsenal in their first game of the season which is the EPL Matchday 1. The Cottagers are determined to survive in the English top-flight, but that is easier said than done. Aleksandar Mitrovic, the Championship Golden Boot from the last season, is still part of the team, and he is widely expected to lead the line for the hosts.
The club chiefs did not make too many changes to the squad in the summer transfer window, and it remains to be seen if that is going to prove to be enough for the capital club to avoid relegation. They have signed a couple of new players to add to their square but the question is can they hold Premier League side Arsenal?
The Gunners, on the other hand, saved the 2019/20 season by beating Manchester City in the FA Cup final. Summer signing Willian is ready for his Arsenal debut in the Premier League, and seeing that Mikel Arteta is doing a good job with the Emirates Stadium outfit, away win should be considered. A man to watch in the Arsenal team will Gabon international Aubermeyang who was the second top goalscorer in the 2019/20 EPL season.
