Everton head coach, Frank Lampard, is plotting a transfer swoop for Chelsea youngster, Levi Colwill. According to reports Lampard wants to sign Colwill on loan during the summer transfer window after watching him excel at Huddersfield. The report also said that Everton scouts have watched the 19-year-old center-half in action on different occasions this season as he helped The Terriers reach the play-off final.
Frank Lampard is eager to agree to terms with Colwill’s parent club, Chelsea, over a loan deal for the 2022-2023 campaign. However, Chelsea may need Colwill back at Stamford Bridge next season following the potential exodus of players this summer. But, if Colwill becomes available, Lampard is ready to bring him to Goodison Park next season at all costs.
The former Chelsea player and coach are keen to give the youngster his first real taste of Premier League football after the Toffees avoided relegation with a 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace.
Colwill has enjoyed a successful season at Huddersfield. He was dubbed as the ‘new John Terry’ due to his performances for the club and Everton’s head coach is not willing to take chances in letting the young slip out of his sight. Signing the player will add a good depth to his defense next season.
