Former Ogun, Edo State Governors Join Presidential Race

Ex-Governors of Edo and Ogun States, Adams Oshiomhole and Ibikunle Amosun, have respectively made known their intentions to partake In the forthcoming Presidential Election come 2023.

On his part, the former Ogun State Governor assured his supporters that he would be contesting in the General Elections while speaking on Thursday at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, in the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Abuja.

Amosun will be running under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, just like the likes of Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister of Transportation; and Chris Ngige, the Minister of Labour and Employment.

More Governors Likely to Declare

Meanwhile, Adams Oshiomhole, a former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, as well as declared his intention on Wednesday, just as his Ekiti State colleague, Governor Kayode Fayemi did likewise on the same day where he declared interest to contest the for president in 2023.

These names are but a few of the entire number of aspirants willing to take part in the epoch event, and it is still obvious that more would join in the race by 2023 seeing their body language since party primaries are already around the corner.
