Prof Attahiru Jega, a former Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has blasted the current leaders occupying key and sensitive positions in the Nigerian political atmosphere.
He stated that those overseeing the everyday running of the country are ‘myopic’ in their leadership views.
He blamed the present administration for the spate of negative events spiraling in every part of Nigeria, especially that leading to the steady collapsing of the nation’s economic activities and daunting insecurity effects to weighing the country down.
Jega pointed out that the current leadership of the nation display a lot of administrative lapses causing major structural breakdown and irregularities.
Recall that it was the former INEC Chair that presided over the elections that ushered in the All Progressives Congress, APC and the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration in 2015.
On realisation of his error in the past, Jega made these assertions when he spoke at the 2022 Workers’ Political Conference organised by the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC in Abuja yesterday with the theme, ‘Commitment to National Emancipation and Development through Effective Political Engagement by Nigerian Workers’
