Former Imo State Governor Loses Property to Present Govt

A former Imo State Governor has lost the legal battle for property ownership to the present Governing administration.

The ex-Governor, Rochas Okorocha, recently forfeited the ownership of Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, Ogboko, to the incumbent Governor of the state, Hope Uzodimma.

Yesterday, the court finally resolved the legal struggle over the University building as the judge ruled in favour Uzodinma’s Government.

The people of Imo witnessed the National Universities Commission, NUC, handing over the university documents (operating certificates) to Hope Uzodinma as property of the state.

NUC Assures Imo State Governor of Achieving Objectives

At the event, the National Universities Commission’s Secretary assured Uzodinma that the NUC would guarantee the State Government the readiness to accomplish its educational objectives.

While transferring the documents over to the Government, the NUC official said a copy of the operating certificate handover is conducted in front of witnesses such as the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, and the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, TETFund, among others.
