Naira Marley has been exposed in a pending court case by a forensic expert working with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFFC.
The EFCC official recently testified against the ‘I’m Not a Yahoo Boy’ hitmaker who had previously scored a date with the anti-corruption agency for charges centring on alleged internet fraud and other similar cases.
The official, Anosike Augustine, made the revelations yesterday, stating there’s proof implicating the artiste in a credit card fraud, adding he can credibly defend his claims as a mobile forensic expert.
Giving his testimony, the expert hinted that so far, the commission, through his office, has successfully identified two thousand, four hundred and ten messages from the mobile device of Marley and analysed the texts.
The Official said the defendant’s iPhone contained numerous credit card numbers and had been extracted as evidence that would be presented to the court for further assessment.
According to the witness, the iPhone is a sophisticated device capable of storing a large volume of information. The sim card identifies users of applications such as WhatsApp, among others.
The witness said he discovered nine hundred and seventy-seven Short Message Service, SMS and one thousand four hundred and thirty-three chat messages in the iPhone.
