Kobe Bryant and his daughter alongside a whole family which was seven in number died in a helicopter crash on Sunday. Bryant, 41, and his daughter Gianna who is 13 were traveling in a private helicopter when it came down and burst into flames.
Sheriff Alex Villanueva said the helicopter manifest indicated that nine people were on board when it crashed. Report earlier stated that they were five people on board but now discarded as it now shows nine people were on board. Bryant, a five-time NBA champion, played for the LA Lakers throughout his career. He is said to be one of the greatest basketball player in the history of the game.

Confirmation of the helicopter came in during a match between PSG and Lille in the Ligue Matchday21. Neymar gave PSG the lead with a 20-yard curling effort in the first half. Neymar started the scoring in the first half of the game to put his side in front.
He paid his respect to Kobe Bryant after scoring a second-half penalty, he held up two fingers on one hand and four on the other, marking Bryant’s Los Angeles Lakers shirt number 24. The Brazil international, who is a basketball fan and had met Bryant, also bowed and pointed to the sky.
Neymar Jnr also wrote on his Instagram page saying Bryant, who was 41, is a legend. Also French wonder kid Kylio Mbappe also expressed his pain and grieve for the death the basketballer as he posted himself and Kobe Bryant in a picture. Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling also took to his social media page and wrote “rest easy legend” in a tweet accompanied by a black-and-white photo of the sports star.
Tributes from celebrities and fellow sports stars have been pouring in, many expressing shock at his sudden death. Moments of silence have been observed at basketball games across the US. Bryant has also been remembered at the Grammy the Award which are being held at the Los Angeles Lakers’ stadium.
“We’re all feeling crazy sadness right now,” said Grammys host Alicia Keys. “Because earlier today Los Angeles, America and the whole wide world lost a hero. We’re literally standing here heartbroken in the house that Kobe Bryant built.”
The NBA issued a statement saying it was “devastated by the tragic passing of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna”. “For 20 seasons, Kobe showed us what is possible when remarkable talent blends with an absolute devotion to winning,” it said.
“This is absolutely terrible. Everyone is numb,” American actress and model Chrissy Teigen tweeted. Pop star Mariah Carey said she was in shock. Fans gathered at a makeshift memorial for Bryant in front of the Staples Center sports and entertainment arena in Los Angeles, laying flowers and basketballs in memory of the star
