Fifa Fifpro Men’s Team of the Year

It’s the end of the year and what is in the mind of football lovers is the Fifa Fifpro Men’s Team of the Year for 2019/20 Season. Five players from the English Premier League made the list, four players are Liverpool and one from Machester City.

The players include goalkeeper Alisson and defenders Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil Van Dijk, Thiago Alcantara and Kevin de Bruyne

The Reds’ summer signing from Bayern Munich, Thiago Alcantara, was also named in the team along with Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne. The three players made it to the 2019/20 Fifa Fifpro Men’s team of the year. Robert Lewandowski was named the best male player and joined Messi and Ronaldo in attack.

The Fifa Fifpro Men’s Team of the Year consist of five English Premier League players, two La Liga players, and three German Bundesliga players. Below is the list of the Fifa Fifpro Men’s Team of the year.

Goalkeeper: Alisson (Liverpool)

Defenders: Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool), Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Alphonso Davies (Bayern Munich).

Midfielders: Joshua Kimmich (Bayern Munich), Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City), Thiago (Liverpool).

Forwards: Lionel Messi (Barcelona), Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich), Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus).

Aside the Fifa Fifpro award, Manchester United and England forward Marcus Rashford was recognised for fighting to end child poverty. The United striker was recognised at the ceremony with a Fifa Foundation award for his work trying to end child poverty in the UK.

Rashford said: “I’d like to say thank you because I know people from other countries want to get involved and learn about it. It will have a knock-on effect and things will start to happen in other countries too.

“It is brilliant, it is why I started it because I wanted to make a change and give people a better chance at life.”
