Ferran Torres on Fire as he Helped his side Crashed Germany

Manchester City winger Ferran Torres was on the score sheet three times as Spain humbled Germany 6-0. The striker scored his first career hat-trick as Spain inflicted Germany’s heaviest competitive defeat. Spain now joins France in the four-team Nations League finals.

Alvaro Morata headed in Spain’s first goal before Ferran Torres volleyed home the second. The goes kept coming as Rodri made it three with a guided header. The Manchester City striker slotted in a fourth before curling home the fifth. Mikel Oyarzabal’s tap-in completed the scores as they beat Germany 6-0.

Spain and France will be joined by either Belgium or Denmark from Group A2 and Italy. The Netherlands or Poland from Group A1. It was a game that Spain dominated from the start to the finish. Spain had 70% possession with 23 shots.

Germany has faced all types of set back in the year 2020. They have only managed to win two goals since the start of the year. Manager Joachim Low was given the chance to rebuild the side after elimination from the 2018 World Cup in the group stages, but with his side ranked 13th in the world.

Low said he didn’t “know what really happened”, but said he still trusts in the players. He also said: “Today we saw that we are not as far ahead in our development as we had thought and expected after the last games.”
