Theo Fernandez scored a late minute goal to help complete France come back as they came from two goals down to win 3-2. France fell behind after 37 minutes, with Atlético Madrid playmaker Yannick Carrasco firing a lovely, low strike to Hugo Lloris’ left and into the back of the net.
This lead was quickly doubled courtesy of Chelsea’s new striker Romelu Lukaku. The former Manchester United striker turned his defender superbly before rifling the ball home into the top right-hand corner to give The Red Devils a comfortable lead heading into the break.
But despite this difficult deficit, Les Bleus were not in the mood for losing and got one back with less than half an hour to play through Real Madrid skipper Karim Benzema, who finished brilliantly past Thibaut Courtois after a magnificent pirouette.
Theo Fernandez’s Goal Helped France Come-back
And just seven minutes later, France levelled the scores courtesy of a brilliantly dispatched Kylian Mbappé spot-kick after Antoine Griezmann was fouled in the box. Theo Hernández netted the winner in the 91st minute to secure France a place in the final of the UEFA Nations League against Spain.
