Bruno Fernandes scored his first Manchester United hat-trick as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side thrashed old rivals Leeds United 5-1 to make the perfect start to the new Premier League season. The Portugal midfielder opened the scoring for United in the 29 minutes of the game to put United in front as they head into the first-half break.
Leeds United came back into the game through Luke Ayling with a thunderous strike, but Mason Greenwood put United back in front in the 52 minutes. The former Sporting Lisbon playmaker doubled his goal two minutes after Greenwood’s goal before completing his hat-trick.
Brazilian playmaker Fred was not left out in the scoring as he scored from a Paul Pogba cross to make the scores 5-1. Paul Pogba claimed four assists in the game, and all the United fans are saying the Frenchman should sign a new contract with the club, saying his combo with Bruno Fernandes fit perfectly.
