Activist and Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, has tackled the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN over issues bothering EndSARS protesters’ bank accounts.

Falana, who opined that the CBN could not appeal the court judgment unfreezing the bank account of 20 EndSARS protesters said his clients would be instituting actions against the President Muhammadu Buhari administration and the CBN.

Speaking on Channels Television, the activist accused the apex court of violating the 20 EndSARS protesters’ rights by illegally freezing their accounts last October.

He noted that the Central Bank failed to investigate the 20 people for alleged money laundering, terrorism and sundry offences within the stipulated time announced by the court.

According to Falana, CBN did not conduct any investigation for 90 days because the EndSARS campaigners committed no offence.
