Female Police Officer Killed by Fellow Police Officer in Port Harcourt

A female police officer has just been killed by another police officer in PortHarcourt, Rivers State. This incident occurred at Eneka in PortHarcourt. The female police officer was working as a traffic warden at a market when Governor Wike’s task force team stormed the market. They were driving away traders who were violating the lockdown and social distance order in the state.

A police member of the task force team during the process arrested a shoe maker. The female police officer working as tarffic warden in the market tried to intervene. As it were, the shoemaker was reisiting arest and the police task farce threatened to shoot him if he continues to do so. Eventually, he tried to shoot him and the shoemaker evaded the bullet and it hit the traffic warden right on the head.

Name of the female police officer is not yet known but she left behind a two-year-old daughter.

  • It's very unfair the shooting today at the junction is nothing to write home about. Normally police are not supposed to point a gun at a civilian let alone firing it at one who is not a criminal. I think we should reconsider this and let them know their duty by first punishing the ones involve in her death.
