According to the story, the EFCC lady ordered shawarma from the eatery and made a payment of N1600 instead of N1500. The vendor called reporting that she is yet to receive payment from the lady. According to the story, it took a while before the EFCC lady was able to get her bank statement showing that she actually made the transfer but it was N1600 in place of N1500.
The eatery proceeded to call the woman and apologise but according to them, she was infuriated and promised to deal with them.

This act by the officers of the EFCC in Benue state has been classified as an abuse of power and marginalization. According to public opinion, the woman in question shutting down the entire eatery for a minor misunderstanding just because she can, was completely unnecessary. Considering the peculiarities of a small scale eatery business, it is highly likely for them not to recognise the transferred amount because of the changes in the figure. Considering the minor differences in the prices of items in such small enterprises, the reluctance to accept a higher amount for a smaller charge was not undue on the part of the eatery.
