Fayose Reiterates Prediction About Edo Elections
Former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has reacted to the statement credited to a former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Bode George over the possible winner of the forthcoming Edo Elections.
In his reaction, Fayose stated that he didnt at any point opined that the incumbent governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki will lose his re-election bid.
Fayose, who clarified this in a statement by his spokesperson, Lere Olayinka said he needed to set the record straight to avoid being misinterpreted.
The former governor added that Mr George may have deliberately read different meanings to what he said because of Political gains he wants to make out of it.
Fayose said though he is not a fan of both Governor Obaseki and Adams Oshiomhole, he believe that Obaseki will win the elections.
However, he adviced Obaseki to honour his agreement with the PDP by not returning to APC after assuming office for the second term for flimsy excuses.
Fayose added that Chief Bode George should know that he is not the mouthpiece of South West PDP but only speak for himself and take responsibility for whatever he say.
He referred to George’s negative statement concerning PDP on Ekiti, Osun and Rivers States elections adding that the audio and it is a reference point that people will never forget as he further advised Bode George to take a rest.
