Barely three days after the Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike destroyed the Ikoku spare parts market; an explosion has rocked Rivers famous Mile 3 Market.
Everyevery.ng gathered that the explosion suspected to be dynamite occurred about 6:10 a.m on Monday. The explosion reportedly injured about six residents in the Mile 3 axis.
The explosion occurred at the dry fish section of the park. Although no fatality was recorded as of the time of filing this report, the injured persons have been taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
Explosion Rocks Rivers State
The Rivers State police spokesman, Nnamdi Omoni, said details of the incident would be made public soon.
Meanwhile, Governor Wike had earlier stated that he marvelled at what his administration had achieved so far in the state. He said this during the Thanksgiving service of the 2nd year of his 2nd tenure in office at St; Paul’s Cathedral, Diobu.

The gas explosion killed the two people at the Marcque event centre within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library. The library is very close to the Conference Hotel, owned by Gbenga Daniel, a former governor of Ogun state, where a gas explosion killed four persons two days ago.
Sources revealed that technicians were topping up gas into the Air Conditioner when it exploded. Meanwhile, the security guards at the gate turned visitors back, as only the truck of the State Fire Service and some officials were allowed into the premises.
