Ex-Super Eagles Star Daniel Amokachi Gets New Appointment
President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Ex-Super Eagles striker Daniel Amokachi as his Special Assistant on Sports matters in what is a big achievement for the ex-Everton star. Daniel Amokachi was the assistant of late coach Stephen Keshi and he also assisted Amodu Shaibu too.
The 47-year-old former Nasarawa United striker got his letter of appointment on Thursday, August 20, from the Sports Minister Sunday Dare. He was named the Special Assistant on Sports, Daniel Amokachi is expected to advise the President on all sports matters and not only football which he has been into but sports generally.
The Former Everton player who is known as the BULL was earlier in the year named Nigeria’s Football Ambassador and he is now expected to leave the office. According to the Ex-Super Eagles star, he said: “I am pleased to inform you that Muhammadu Buhari President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has approved your appointment as Special Assistant on Sports. “The appointment takes effect from the 11th of August, 2020.”
