A former staff of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, identified as Ezekiel Adamu Pam, has been caught with 254kg of cannabis sativa.
Ezekiel Adamu, who was dismissed by NDLEA was arrested on 9th of October, 2020 with loads of dried weeds which weighs 254kg and suspected to be cannabis sativa (Indian hemp).
The Acting Commander of Niger State NDLEA, Mr Oludare Aloye, said that the suspect was arrested in Mokwa, in Mokwa Local Government Area after they’ve loaded the car in Ado Ekiti alongside another suspect who escaped heading into Adamawa State.
It was revealed that Ezekiel Adamu Pam with staff number SN 5454 was dismissed in 2019. According to the State Commander, the suspect would be charged to court after the agency completed its investigation.
Mr Oludare also used the opportunity to urge the public to always report any suspicious activity or individuals to relevant authorities which would go a long way to rid the state of drug trafficking and its attendant crimes.
