Former beauty queen, Ms. Aderinoye Queen Christmas, also known as Ms. Queen Oluwadamilola Aderinoye, has surrendered to the Lagos Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) after evading capture for approximately eight months. The development was disclosed in a statement by Femi Babafemi, the NDLEA Director of Media & Advocacy.

Aderinoye, who was declared wanted in January 2024, had been on the run since fleeing her residence in Lekki, Lagos. NDLEA operatives had raided her apartment at Oral Estate on January 24, following credible intelligence that she was involved in the trafficking of illegal substances.

During the raid, law enforcement officials recovered a significant cache of items, including 606 grams of Canadian Lo*d, a synthetic cannabis strain, an electronic weighing scale, drug packaging materials, a black RAV 4 SUV (Lagos KSF 872 GQ), and a picture frame of the suspect, among other items.

The former Miss Commonwealth Nigeria Culture 2015/2016 and founder of the Queen Christmas Foundation had reportedly been hiding in Akure, Ondo State, since her escape. She ultimately surrendered to the NDLEA on August 28, 2024.

The agency’s efforts to capture Aderinoye were part of a broader crackdown on drug trafficking in the region.
