Europa League Round of 16 Draws
Manchester United draw against Austrian side LASK in the Europa League round of 16 which was conducted Friday 28 February. The 2017 champions booked their place the Europa League round of 16 after a 5-0 thrashing to Club Brugge. They will be traveling to Austria to play LASK in the first leg of the tournament.
Rangers who last went this far in 2011 was drawn against German side Bayern Leverkusen while Wolverhampton and Olympiaqus will battle each other. The Greek side reached the last 16 after knocking Arsenal out in the Europa League round of 32. The 119th-minute goal gave them the break through to eliminate Arsenal on Thursday.
It will Italian and Spain battle majorly as Getafe and Inter Milan face each other while Sevilla battle Roma in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16. Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan will line-up against Getafe, who knocked out last season’s Champions League semi-finalists Ajax.
Basel have been drawn against Frankfurt or Red Bull Salzburg. Their second leg was postponed due to bad weather in Austria and will be played on Friday; the German side lead 4-1 on aggregate. Istanbul Basaksehir, debutants at this stage, will play Celtic’s conquerors FC Copenhagen, while Wolfsburg play Shakhtar Donetsk.
